Hello from beautiful Boone!

All of us at Appalachian are busily preparing for another exciting Fall semester with all of the expectations that accompany the start to another academic year. Your ALC Team has also experienced a bit of excitement since we last met.

Former ALC Team leaders Shawn Miller, Jill Sparks and Geoff Graham have moved on to other positions outside the University. Fortunately, we've added some familiar folks to many on the ALC to help fill in the ranks of the coordinating team.

Vivien McMahon '82 now leads the development efforts for the College of Arts & Sciences. Dolly (Bandura) Farrell '06, Reich College of Education Development Officer, officially joins our ALC team. Peter Vandenberg '90 has joined as DO for the Walker College of Business and Greg Langdon '88 has taken over the DO position within the College of Fine & Applied Arts. We look forward to working with the ALC members in our new positions.

In this August 2006 ALC e-newsletter you will find:

  • ALC New Members & Fall Meeting Update
  • Campus Notes
  • Upcoming Events/Activities

Special welcomes goes to our newest ALC class members!
