Hello from the beautiful mountains of Boone,

We hope you are all doing well and looking forward to an exciting summer.

We want to welcome the newest members of the Alumni Leadership Committee. Thank you for agreeing to participate with the ALC the next two years. It's a wonderful group and we're honored to have you on board.

To our current members, we want to introduce you to two new members of the ALC Team here on campus. Dolly Farrell, director of development with the Reich College of Education, and Peter Vandenberg, director of development with the Walker College of Business, will be working to organize our meetings and set our agendas. We appreciate them joining the team.

With regard to our next meetings, we have two dates of which we want to make you aware:

July 15 - Chancellor and Mrs. Peacock are hosting a reception prior to a concert that evening featuring the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The concert is part of an Appalachian Summer Festival. Space is limited for the event. If you're interested in attending, please e-mail Vivien McMahon at mcmahonvl@appstate.edu or call her at 828-262-4013 and we will have an invitation sent to you.

September 15-16 - The next scheduled meeting of the ALC. We are still working on the agenda. Saturday is Fall Open House, as well as the second home football game. Please mark these days on your calendar. We'll have details to you later this summer.
