Goals of the ALC

1. Identify, inform and involve alumni who can make a positive short and long-term impact on Appalachian.

2. Develop an informal system of networking among Appalachian alumni.

3. Provide mini-course work on key institutional programs.

4. Seek counsel and response on current and planned programs.

5. Build a stronger sense of connection among key alumni.

ALC NOMINATIONS

ALC new member nominations are considered every spring.  Any ALC member may nominate an alum who meets the below criteria via e-mail to any ALC Coordinating Team member.  Please provide a short paragraph of support (including work/community service/alumni involvement) as to why your nominee would make an excellent ALC member.  Also include their preferred e-mail address and/or phone number.

Minimum qualifications for ALC membership:

-AppState graduate (undegraduate or masters)

-At least 5 years since graduation before being nominated

-Willingness to attend 4 meetings while "actively" serving with their nominating class

-Willingness to participate when called upon with time and talents for betterment of Appalachian
