Lawrence '00 and Leslie (Steelman) '00 Hiatt

OUR STORY: "My husband Lawrence graduated from ASU in the spring of 2000 and I graduated in the fall of 2000. After Lawrence graduated, he came to Boone to visit his friends, who were friends of mine but we didn't know that at the time. I saw him out mid Fall semester 2000 and told his friend I thought he was cute.   It was a month or so after that our friends set us up on a date.  The fate of our story is we had the same friends  and were at the same places in Boone for years at ASU but never met. I know had we met before the fall of 2000 we wouldn't have been on each others radar because we were at different places in our lives.  We've now been married for almost five years and just welcomed our first child in February of this year."
