Appalachian Alumni Association to Host Official Tailgate Party for App State Alumni & Fans at 2017 Dollar General Bowl in Mobile, Alabama

Join the Appalachian State University Alumni Association tailgate party at Ladd-Peebles Stadium  in Mobile, Alabama on Saturday, December 23 from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. CST to enjoy pre-game festivities, food and beverages with your fellow Mountaineers. Event registration for the tailgate is now closed. An official tailgate wristband, provided by the Alumni Office, will be required for entry into the alumni tailgate zone which will be located just inside Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The Alumni Office will provide follow up instructions about obtaining the entry wristband to alumni and fans who purchase our tailgate ticket(s) package. 

Tailgate Event Highlights:

• Appalachian's tailgate is from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. CST at Ladd-Peebles Stadium (1621 Virginia St, Mobile, AL 36604) and is open to all Appalachian State alumni, friends and fans; bowl game kickoff is at 6:00 p.m. CST (7:00 EST).
• An official tailgate wristband, provided by the Alumni Office, will be required for entry into the alumni tailgate zone which will be located just inside Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The Alumni Office will provide follow up instructions about obtaining the entry wristband to alumni and fans who purchase our tailgate ticket(s) package. • The tailgate menu includes fried fish strips, southern-style shrimp and grits, roasted pork tenderloin, corn fritters, green beans, loaded baked potato salad, homemade bread pudding, and a beverage variety including tea and sodas. Our tailgate will be catered by Wintzell's Oyster House of Mobile.
• Tailgate price is $45.00 for adults (ages 18 and up), $35.00 for students (ages 6-17), free for children under the age of 5.
• A cash bar will be available with beer and wine for ages 21 years and older with valid ID.
• A valid photo ID is required to be served alcohol.
  
• Outside food and drink are not permitted at the tailgate.
• General parking for all fans begins at 2:00 p.m. (subject to change) at a cost of $20.00 per vehicle.

• Registration deadline for the tailgate is Tuesday, December 19 – TAILGATE EVENT REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. Call the Office of Alumni Affairs at 866-756-2586 during regular office hours (weekdays 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) for information.
