Alumni are invited to stay in touch with the University in a variety of ways. They are also free to use select services on campus, including Career Development opportunities and various facilities. Belk Library and Information Commons
Alumni have access to Belk Library and may check out materials for an annual fee of $10. Alumni also need to present a valid driver's license (or valid state issued picture ID) and verification of alumni status in the Alumni Directory. More details about borrowing library materials or online library services are available at Belk Library on the web.
New York Loft
Based on availability, alumni are welcome to make reservations at one of Appalachian's off-site facility - The Appalachian Loft in N.Y. Call (828) 262-2132 for availability and rate information.
Other facilities open for alumni use
Alumni are also invited to make use of the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center and Camp Broadstone.
When visiting Boone, Appalachian alumni receive a 10 percent discount on guest rooms at Appalachian's very own Broyhill Inn. To make reservations, call 1-800-951-6048.
Camp Broadstone is open year-round to organized groups for retreats, meetings, workshops and special events. Discounted rates offered for groups of alumni. Call (828) 963-4640 or go to Camp Broadstone website for more information.
Career Development's Career Gear
Career Gear is an online tool intended to enhance and cultivate connections between ASU and potential employers and internship providers. Many of its services are open to alumni, either as job seekers or employers. More ...
Appalachian Today, the University magazine
Appalachian Today is published twice a year, in the fall and spring. A copy is mailed to new graduates and alumni and friends who have made a financial contribution in any amount to the University within the past five years.
APPdate, the University e-newsletter
APPdate is an electronic newsletter e-mailed bi-weekly to all alumni with an active e-mail address within the Gold Book. APPdate includes the latest news from campus, athletics and the alumni office.
