CLASS – Champions Love Appalachian State Spirit
“Today I Give My ALL For Appalachian State” is the foundation for ASU Athletics and the University as a whole. Together, Appalachian administrators and students have developed an initiative to encourage first-class conduct at all Appalachian athletic events.
We all share in the responsibility of promoting good sportsmanship at games and ensuring that past, present and future Mountaineers learn the positive nature of supporting our teams.
The new initiative “CLASS” (Champions Love Appalachian State Spirit) - gives us a mechanism to guide all external friends of the University that will lead to a positive and enthusiastic “game day” atmosphere. Athletics Director Charlie Cobb emphasizes that, “we want everyone to understand their role in creating home field advantage, but more importantly, realizing the responsibility we all share in representing Appalachian State University.”

The main goal of the CLASS program is to promote sportsmanship at all of our events, educate everyone on the benefits of a positive and united message for our student-athletes, and to give our all for Appalachian State.
